Where it all began...

We have been supplying great quality furniture for just over 12 years from our Midlands showroom in Birmingham. We remain a family run business who strive to deliver excellent products at the lowest possible prices. The family have a successful history in business and have operated from the same premises for over 25 years, however business interests now range from furniture retail, import, wholesale and distribution.

In 2009 the company became incorporated into the Apex Group and began trading under The Modern Home (Midlands) Ltd. to share the benefits of a larger parent corporation, however customer service remains paramount and is as personal as the day we began and handled in-house by our furniture experts.

We are proud to operate in a unique fashion in such a competitive market. Firstly we provide many new offers every month, however unlike most retailers, we do not set expiration periods on such offers. Therefore prices remain at these great low prices for as long as possible. Instead of seasonal sales for limited periods, we prefer to constantly stay hugely below our competitors prices... and we check every single day to ensure we stick to our promise.

Put simply, we love furniture! Whether studying current trends and themes, or sourcing specialist timbers from remote destinations for clients, or selecting next seasons styles, to improving our current inventory, anything to do with furniture and we think we have it covered. Every year we invest in staff to learn new techniques and innovations in furniture production. Our specialist team of writers work on describing the products after viewing and assembling the many ranges from hundreds of suppliers across the world.

Once you place your order, our processing team dispatch orders to our warehouse where vans are loaded and every piece of furniture is hand delivered by our own trained delivery staff and fleet of vehicles reducing damage and poor handling. In the rare occurrence of damaged or faulty goods, our customer service support team are on hand to help with your request.
